ESCORTED BY ANGELS

If you read my last blog you saw that we would be doing some tract bombing from 12am-4am at a Buddhist monastery. Well God had it planned a little differently.

The contact that Lloyd had bumped into was a Chinese, Tibetan and somewhat English speaking boy. What Lloyd found out was that his father was a Chinese police officer. Great! Well Lloyd had agreed with the family that the Father and the Son would escort us to one of the biggest Buddhist Temples in the region. We had been praying all day about finding a monastery and what would you know, God was going to escort us into it.

The escort began. We all loaded up in the little police car and were blown away by what was happening. We had been told that there was a Buddhist Monastery just outside of town, so this was going to be a trial run for what was to come at 12am in the morning. Well, we kept driving and driving and realized that we were heading way up in the mountains. There was nothing in sight except snowcapped mountains, yaks, rivers and open plains. It was beautiful but how were we going to get to this place in the middle of the night. This started to seem like a suicide mission if attempted because of the altitude and the temperatures at night.

We got to the town and were blown away by the beauty surrounding this monastery. There was actually a festival that was going to be going on at this site, so monks were coming in from all cities. Tents were being set up at the base of the town and here were four white people coming out of nowhere. The people were in awe when we showed up and stared from every angle.

We arrived a little early and found out that the Monks were in a time of prayer so we had to wait for about a half hour. In that half hour we were all in a state of prayer on what we were going to do. Should we rent a truck to take us out in the middle of the night, should we get a motor bike, every possible solution was going through our heads. Then Liesl brought up a suggestion. Let's plant the tracts right now. What? The police officer was with us and this was our one way ticket to the slammer. We didn't have any other choice and we felt that God was behind it so we went for it.

I want you to imagine something. You are with a police officer, if he finds out that you are planting tracts you will go straight to jail. We are at a very famous Buddhist monastery with probably thousands of monks. How in the world could this happen? We did not do a thing, God blinded the eyes of the people, the police officer that was with and took us into the valley of the shadow of death with angels surrounding us from every direction.

What went on next is really hard to explain in words. We were taken through an actual ritual that was going on in one building. Incense was burning in every corner, chants moaned from monks surrounding us and we were able to do a prayer walk around the entire ceremony. It was one of the most demonic things that I have ever witnessed. On one side of the huge room were three Buddhas with demonic faces standing about two stories high. This was so intense. (I am sorry I don't have pictures of this, cameras were a strict NO.)

The next building we went to the police officer purchased white garments that we were supposed give as an offering to the Gods. Boy did this man not know what we were there for. We entered the main structure that was nine stories tall. What was inside I cannot express in words. We entered the building and all gave our fleece to our God Jesus Christ and saw a building that was gutted from the inside. Picture an indoor hotel with all the rooms on the outside and the middle wide open. What was on the inside was a nine story copper Buddha. I am not embellishing one bit. We got to go up to the third floor where two monks were in ritual chants and incense burned around ritualistic offerings. While this was going on we had a great means of teamwork. Two people would distract the officer and the monks while the others went around planting tracks. The whole time I was doing this I was also recording an undercover video with my trusty video camera. They never told me that I couldn't video. It was probably one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life especially because if caught, I knew that we would be deported or sent to jail.

The third building we went to was the most satanic sight I have ever seen. We entered while one monk was in a ritualistic chant banging on a metal cylinder and we walked around the room about the size of a 2000 square foot house. What we saw was again hard to put in words but without freaking you out too much we saw pictures of bodies split in half, eyeballs popping out of eyes, blood streaming out of flesh, creatures with multiple heads, men with bodies of animals and the entire time the boy that was with us was saying what peaceful God's he worships (sorry might have freaked you out). Man how blinded these people are. I have never been in more intense prayer in my life.

The next moment things got a little harry because people in our group were getting very bold about where they where placing tracks and monks were finding them. We then split up into two teams because we wanted to shower this place with prayer and tracks and also go to the mountain behind the monastery and plant our cross that we had made. Liesl and Casey continued in prayer while Lloyd and I headed up the mountain.

The prayer flags that were at the top of the mountain looked so much closer then they actually were. At around 15,000 feet plus we huffed and puffed and finally reached the top of the mountain, it was one of the most awesome feelings of my life. We were here in the name of Jesus Christ and we were about to plant a cross in His name above this valley of lost souls. We prayed continuously as eagles flew above and shouted in the name of our lord Jesus Christ with hands held high. It was truly a scene out of a movie.

After about 20 minutes of prayer we had to head back down the mountain because we didn't know what was waiting for us at the bottom. When we reached the bottom we had found out that one of the monks found a bible that we had hidden and gave it to the police officer. We all expected to be shipped off but for some reason nothing happened. We got back in our escorted cop car and left this escorted dream back to our hotel.

As we left the gates of the city we saw a huge buck just sitting in the middle of the river. We all were in a state of utter peace while I ran up about 10 yards of this beautiful animal. It completed this wonderful reality of a dream that just took place.

As we drove away from the valley, all I could think about was how unbelievably awesome our God is. I had a police officer to my left and a smile from ear to ear. I wanted to get out of the car and scream at the top of my lungs because what just went on was not humanly possible. Only our great God could have made what just happened, happen.

This is the poem on the cross that was placed at the top of the mountain written by Liesl Roos.

Salvation

A cross burning in a secret core, a love yearning to burn brighter more. Holy oil anointing a rushing river flowing flames, little children the disciples of the Name above all names. Godly passion burning, heating hardened hearts for Him, servant soldiers melting molding pure and Godly gleam. When readiness is here, burn evil without fear. Exploding fire flames, faultless as it aims. Lighting streams of oil spreading with all might. Flowing over mountains bringing Holy light, every shouting city, every talking town, every whispering village will bow before His crown. Sinners will be saved, broken become one, salvation they all craved, will then exclude none. All the children of China will turn to God above and the Father of that fire will unit and heal and Love.

PRAYER FROM END TO END

We woke up around 9:30am after a much needed nights rest. My plan was to get up earlier to read but I was completely exhausted. We began the day eating as a group and then worshiping together.

After worship we discussed our daily activities and all agreed that we felt God wanted us to do a prayer walk from one end of the town to the other. We also felt like the Lord wanted us to make a cross and put it somewhere in the town in honor of his name. Lloyd was going to head up that project.

We headed to the Westside of town to one of the Prayer towers that the Buddhists go to each day. We acted just like the Buddhists do and walked around the prayer tower in the clockwise direction. The prayers were very intense because of the darkness that surrounded the towers.

After a few rounds of private prayer and open prayer we headed to the center of town where we encountered a couple people who really didn¡¯t want us there. They were of a different state and just pointed at us as though they were possessed. Everyone else in the town surrounded us and saw the Love that was pouring out from the Holy Spirit.

When we reached the end of the town we found the other Idol that the Buddhists worshiped. This area was huge and took about ten minutes to get around it once. For your knowledge the prayer flags are given to the gods as much as possible by the Buddhists. This is a works Religion and in order for the Buddhists to have a better next life they need to do as many works as possible. The brightly colored flags are so the gods can see them and the higher they are placed the closer to the gods they are. These prayer flags are all over this part of the region mostly at the peaks of mountains.

This was a very special day of prayer for this city and we just met a major contact for the city that will help us out for our next major adventure, Track Bombing. We are going to be escorted into a Buddhist Temple in the day time and in the night time between 12:00am and 4:00am we will be placing tracts amongst the Temple. I am getting goose bumps thinking about it right now. Pray for us.

INDESCRIBABLE

I began the day with quite a heavy feeling on my heart. I had a bit of a cough and was affected by the cold room that we slept in but most of the heaviness came from the people of the town. My continuous prayer has been to break my heart for the people and to let me feel what the people feel. I truly think that God has hit me square in the forehead with the feeling that is showering these people. The darkness is almost too much to handle from this dark religion but I thank God for the reality that he has placed before me.

At around 9:00am it was time to head out of town and go to our ministry site. My team dynamics has completely switched but I truly think that it is a blessing from God because it is going to give me a chance to connect with some of my other sisters in Christ. Although I will miss my three other sisters besides my main sister, my baby sis Taryn (sorry T, you will always be my baby sis)who I love dearly.

The journey was like Chris Tomlin¡¯s song Indescribable. I hope that these pictures will reveal some of Gods Creation because I couldn¡¯t pick my jaw off the floor. Snow showered down as we traveled through mountainous terrain reaching heights of close to 16,000 feet. Cliffs erected from every direction while clouds raced by. Miles of valleys uncovered themselves around every turn while Yak grazed freely among the open plains. Rivers rushed if they weren¡¯t frozen, while sheep & lamb galloped on the mountain sides.

The 5 hours was a poem that I never wanted to end but as we neared our town of ministry I praised our great God who created the Heavens and the Earth. God has once again blown me off my feet by showing me His world through His eyes.

We have now reached our ministry site where it is freezing. I am currently snuggled in my bed and afraid to go to our bathroom that some might cringe at. But, I would never choose to be in a better place in life. I have a warm bed, friends that are truly amazing and a Heavenly Father that I am completely in Love with. And to top it all off, I am in a town that has not heard of the Salvation of Jesus Christ and I have been chosen to pour Love on them. I pray that God will use me in ways that my mind can not fathom.

We head out tomorrow to do multiple prayer walks around Buddhist Temples.

A BUS RIDE TO REMEMBER

We arrived in a town that I can not mention and found out that we had to stay the night because the sleeper bus that we were going to take for 20 hours had sold out and the only bus that we could take was a regular passenger bus the next morning. I was looking forward to that sleeper bus but I will roll with the punches.

(MY NEW TEAM FOR THE WEEK)

We woke up in the morning and all trucked off to the bus station. Along the way we met a couple Tibetan Buddhists that wanted to take a picture with Lloyd and me.

I think I have to tell you a little about what the Tibetan Buddhists believe in this part of the country. It is a little different than most of the other Buddhist Religions because it has a very dark side to it. Most Buddhists believe in Sheba; which is our Devil; but these Buddhists heavily believe in Demonic presences. There whole lives are considered to be a life of suffering and there existence is to get to a complete state of peace which is Nirvana, where they are then wiped out of existence (WOW, they believe this happens through re-incarnation over many lives). The demons that they believe in inhabit every mountain and every place. They feel that through their existence they can somehow take control of these demons and take control of their powers by that demon inhabiting them. If you would like to see more on it, read God Spoke Tibetan, it goes into more detail about it. After knowing that and sitting next to them you think a little differently and are in a constant state of prayer. My heart just pours out to these people.

We then began a bus ride that I will never forget. We left our city at around 8,000 feet and climbed to an altitude of 17,000 feet. We went for miles without seeing anything but plateaus, mountains, sheep herders, miles of sand dunes, and icy rivers. The change in scenery was incredible. We had people get altitude sickness, car sickness, and just about every other sickness. The temperatures dropped to a very cold 12 degrees Fahrenheit in the middle of the night and every window on the bus was frozen solid. Even though it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life it was definitely one of the most memorable ones. We arrived at 6:30 am and are now in a hotel room resting up.

Get a load of this travel schedule to come. Six hours to our next ministry destination, we are then there for four days working with the Tibetan Buddhists and then it begins. Twenty hours back on bus to the last city, four hours to the next, thirty-six hours by train, three hours to the airport, a three hour flight to Bangkok where we rest for two days. Then a twenty hour train or bus ride to our ministry destination. Wow. I laugh every time I think about it and the really funny part is that we go from where it can get to 12 degrees Fahrenheit to about 90 degrees with 100 percent humidity.

I love you all and will probably not be able to post for a little over a week. Know that you are in my prayers and I think of each and every one of you often. May God touch the lives of the Tibetan people and touch my heart in a way that I can not imagine.

TRAVEL BEGINS

The long journey of 26 hours by bus began in such a fitting way. We had ended our stay in the town that we were in by connecting with a lot of Tibetan Buddhists and traveling to a Buddhist Temple. Well, what would you know, God put me right next to the only Tibetan Buddhist on the bus. Praise God and how he works.

As we winded through some of the most treacherous mountainous areas I have ever seen, I began to show my friend next to me pictures of my family, my church, my friends and the God that I love so much. I read my bible right next to him and gave him a tract which he read as well. This stirred something up in him immensely because he began to chant softly underneath he voice, play with his prayer beads and pray towards me it seemed (I actually got it on film, it is pretty cool). I know that the Holy Spirit worked immensely on this ride because he was very interested in the Bible tract that we gave him and I could tell that he felt the Love pour out from the others and myself.

On this ride we got a chance to listen to worship music together; although he did not understand a word of it; and he even gave me a beautiful dried flower that I will always remember him by.  May God continue to send Christians into his life.

This was only about 5 hours of the total trip.

FROM MOSQUE TO BUDDHIST TEMPLE

Today was hard to explain because I can¡¯t believe that it happened, it felt like a scene right out of a movie. Think of a place out in the middle of nowhere, deep in the mountains with a Buddhist Temple tucked away on the edge of a mountain. I will let your imagination run wild with this Religion that states when you reach the state of Nirvana, you have reached the end of the road and your whole existence is non-existent.

My Prayers go out to these people and I cry out to the Lord to send people into their lives.

MR. ROBOTO TO MR. CHICKEN

Today was such a fun day. We again were escorted into one of the schools in town to teach the children English. We were split up into groups and Tauna and I were able to talk to two classes. We were able to speak about our entire trip and a door was opened to talk about JC. It was truly a blessing from God.

After visiting with the children, we headed off to dinner. On the way we found out that Tauna wanted to buy a jacket so we found a store on the main strip that happened to have music blasting. I didn¡¯t have anything to do so I began to dance around a little out in front of the store. The next thing you knew Kimberly, Sarah and myself were doing the Mr. Roboto and the moonwalk in front of about 40 bystanders. I have it on video, it is absolutely hilarious.

After our thirty minute dance routine we headed to our restaurant and we were all ready for a big meal. The waiter brought out a huge plate of chicken and noodles and put it right in the middle of the table. For those of you that don¡¯t know the way people eat in China, anything that you don¡¯t want or want to throw away you throw it on the ground. It is a little weird at first but when you see the ground covered in bones, napkins, noodles and whatever else, you just join in. It actually is quite fun, or maybe I am just a little weird.

The highlight of the night was when Sarah picked up the wrong piece of chicken. Lloyd had joked at the beginning of the night that he saw the head of the chicken. We all thought that he was joking but when Sarah took this piece of chicken out of the dish that looked like a chicken head, we all started dying laughing. She had no clue at all and almost started eating it. Kimberly was right next to her and the only thing she could do is call out my name to do something. I thought it was way too funny to do anything, so I busted out the camera. Mr. Chicken and I, as you can see got well acquainted.

MY HEARTS BREAKS FOR THE MUSLIMS

Today was again such a blessing from God. I got to spend time with the children in a local town and pray that Gods blessing would truly lift the blinders that are covering the Muslim religion. Some of my Muslim friends might be offended by that comment but dive into the Koran and see who Mohammad was as a person and ask yourself, do I really think that he was a prophet from God and do I want to follow his beliefs? My answer is obviously NO.

My prayer the entire time has been for God to put the burdens of the people on my heart and make my heart break for them. It has in more ways than I can explain. I have had a hard time grasping that if the walls are broken and some Muslims come to Christ that they will be banished from their families and disowned because of the Muslim religion. I have had to give that to Christ and ask for protection over them and realize that this lifetime is seconds compared to the eternity that is to follow.

I pray that our presence in this town is the beginning of something huge and that the Truth will soon be seen and that the people will be set free from the bondage that they cannot even see.

The chance to be a part of this movement that is to come is such a blessing from God and I praise His name each and every day for choosing me to be a part of it.

To my supporters, family & friends; without your love, encouragement, prayers and thoughts, I truly would not have what it takes to be on this calling. I LOVE you and PRAY for you always.

PRAYER WALKS

I woke up this morning after a much needed nights sleep with prayer on my mind. I opened up the bible and began reading John 17, which is Jesus praying for all people before he is taken to be crucified. I felt so much of that prayer because that was the exact prayer that I have been praying for these people in this town. My heart truly has been broken for these people. I then began to read Proverbs and came across ¡°I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me¡± Proverbs 8:17. I pray that these people will seek the truth and truly find the LOVE that is waiting for them.

After reading our group gathered together to discuss our quite time and tell what was on our hearts before we met with our contact and went for a prayer walk. My main goal, even though we were going to be sight seeing with our new found friend, was to be in continuous prayer the entire time.

We hit the streets and became the talk of the town. People stared from every direction and followed us where ever we went. I think that I know what celebrities feel like because everyone stares and you cannot help but feel that you are being watched. God¡¯s beauty here is amazing.

Our contact then invited our group to go to his old high school and teach English in some of the classes. This was such a blessing from God because the children just wanted to learn English. They were very interested in our culture, our beliefs and our thoughts about their city. I praise God for his amazing Grace and LOVE for these people.

After about an hour of teaching we headed to the basketball court where we got served. About 100 kids surrounded us as we played a three on three game and every time we scored the crowd cheered. The feeling was amazing because we could feel the love from these kids like we hadn¡¯t felt before.

I thank God for this experience and Pray that seeds are  planted and opportunities come our way.

A MIND BOGGLING ADVENTURE

What an experience this has been so far. It is truly such a blessing to be part of a trip like this where I can see the world, make friendships that will last a lifetime and share the gospel to people who have never heard of salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus!

After such an amazing time in one of the cities, it was time to do what we came here for, ministry. We as a group had a choice of one of five cities to minister to. When I heard the cities for the first time I was immediately drawn to one city that was almost completely Muslim and had a certain group of people that had never had heard the gospel before. I knew in my heart that this was the place we were going. It turns out God had that planned for us.

We jumped on the bus and started on a four hour journey over the  mountain tops exceeding 12,000 feet high. The country was absolutely beautiful and you could see miles of snow covered mountain tops and valleys in each direction. The roads were bumpy, which actually caused a guy to throw up right next to Kimberly (some actually got on her leg). It was probably one of the funniest things I have seen in a while because Kimberly hung herself out the window, laughing, crying and screaming all at the same time. I felt bad for the guy but he seemed to be all right.

After a little clean up job we were off again. I just sat in the back of  the bus praying as we went past Mosque after Mosque after Mosque. My heart tore for these people and all I did the entire time was pray for them.

We finally arrived in the city where we were going to stay and God immediately took control. We were accepted with open arms into this community of Muslims and God put a man in our lives that spoke great English. He helped us check into our hotel, told us about the city and even invited us to dinner. God has been truly amazing so far.

Over the past week I have had a huge burden on my heart to be in constant prayer and intercession for the people of this city that we are in. I have realized that our ministry in this town is going to consist of stepping out of my box and letting the HOLY SPIRIT take complete control. We are going to trust in God and let him work through us through prayer walks and intercession.

Thanks to all my prayer partners, supporters, family & friends whom without I would not be able to do this trip. I love you and pray for you often. God Bless.

HONG KONG CHURCH SERVICE

Today was truly a blessing from God. After 11 hours of sleep I woke up at 6:00am to read my bible. During my alone time a gentleman by the name of Benjamin entered the room and saw that I was reading the bible. He sat down and we immediately went into conversation. It turned out that he was a Christian and was from the Congo living in Hong Kong. The next thing I knew I was reading a chapter from Proverbs and we were praying out in the open. It was truly awesome. He also invited me to his church service which was for young adults.

After a long morning with God, I went sight seeing with Ashley, Kimberly, Paul & Sarah. We went to the Hong Kong History museum and I was overloaded with China history.

Around 6:00pm Benjamin came to my hotel room and we where off to his church, a gentleman by the name of David (who is now a great friend of mine) accompanied us. When we arrived at the church I was showered with LOVE from the members of the church. A girl by the name of Amy took me under her wing and introduced me to most of the members, she was truly a blessing.

When the service began I could feel the Spirit in such an amazing way. Everyone had such a deep love for Christ and we all worshiped freely for our amazing Father. I truly felt at home and consider it an honor to worship our Great God with everyone from The Vine.

I pray that God showers you all with LOVE, JOY & PEACE and that your ministry grows to the point of expansion. May God touch lives through your ministry and show the Love of Christ through each of your members.

I head off for 50 hours of travel in the morning.

God Bless to all.

EXPERIENCING HONG KONG

I was so happy when we got to our hostel because I had planned the plane flight exactly to avoid a major jet lag.  The good news was that I was in bed; the bad news was that we had to get up at 6:30am to get visas.  Its alright, I am in Hong Kong.

After a slow start and some prayer I was energized and ready to see the city.  We headed off to get our visas and meet Eugene (let's just call him that).  I was very surprised at how easy it was to get visas.  Other than Americans being charged a ridiculously high price ($120, twice as much as anyone else), you just give them your passport with a photo and pick it up in a couple of hours.

We all were a little hungry so we headed off to get some breakfast.  As we walked I spoke with Eugene and I knew right away that we would get along very well.  I immediately picked his brain as to the lifestyle of a brother.  He went into great detail and I was amazed at the presence within him and the love of JC that he had.

What I had learned throughout that conversation was that I did not need to be as cautious talking about JC as I thought, especially in Hong Kong.  Although the population is heavily Muslim & Buddhist, Christianity is very prevalent and tolerated, at least in Hong Kong.

It was now time to see the city.  We jumped on a ferry to mainland Hong Kong and boy was I blown away.  This is the biggest city that I have ever seen, enormous buildings in every direction, boats coming and going and people working everywhere.  It was an inspiration to see the work ethic and infrastructure that Hong Kong has developed into.  I just sat back with a gentle sea breeze in my face and took in everything that I was seeing.

While peering off into Hong Kong I couldn¡¦t help but think about the enormous amounts of money that went into the city, high-rise apartments in every direction and office buildings towering over the bay.   I then began to think about the drive that people have in this day and age.  Being a Christian and possessing the gift of giving, I know that in order to give I need money to provide for that which people do not have.  But, then I began to think about what Money has become in the age that we live in.  Money in our age has become a God to people and each and everyday people worship this God without even knowing it.  I know that I did.  I thought about the lavish cars that I wanted, the huge mansion on top of a mountain, the Rolex watch, and the notoriety of having all that money.  Do I really need all those things?

Coming from America, I know how touchy the subject of money is but I think that it is so very important that some really think about it.  I am not saying that money is a bad thing because without money churches wouldn¡¦t be built and missionaries wouldn¡¦t be supported.  What I am saying is that without the right motives for having money, money is just another idol or false God talked about in the Old Testament.

What does money truly mean to you?

LOS ANGELES DREAM CENTER

The Dream Center has been almost like a dream to me. You have to try and put yourself in my shoes right now and picture the amount of worlds I have been jumping in and out of over the past couple of months. Mexico, Guatemala, San Diego and now the Los Angeles Dream Center. It is really very surreal.

When I first heard about the Los Angeles Dream Center I knew that we were going to be staying there. Even though we had not locked it down, God truly put it on my heart. Well that feeling came true.

This place is truly amazing and God is behind the ministries in miraculous ways. The facility is an old abandoned hospital that was on the market about ten years ago for $15 million dollars but was purchased by the Barnett family for $3.9 million. The facility is 450,000 square feet and holds a total of about 200 different types of ministries and outreaches.

I took a tour of the facility to see what the place was all about and I was truly touched by the amount of lives that are being saved spiritually and physically. Children are being taken off of the streets and out of the hands of gangs, drug dealers, crack addicts, prostitution and so many other things. Hope is being given to the hopeless and needs are being met.

Although we are actually only here training for our next leg, God has touched me in so many ways through this ministry. I have met and seen people that had completely given up in life and were destined for destruction on the streets of LA. Because of the Dream Center, their lives have been saved and they have been given the chance to truly see where Gods purpose is for them.

If you are in the area, I would encourage you to stop by and see what the Dream Center is all about. www.dreamcenter.org

QUALITY TIME WITH THE FAMILY

My last day with my parents was a very special day for me. In the morning I got time to spend praying on the beach with my mother, sister, friend Breanne and Sarah. It was such a beautiful morning and God really spoke to each and every one of us.

After praying we all met up with Lloyd and Chuck (Breanne’s boyfriend); who had just gone surfing; for a cup of coffee and some theology talk (my best friend Ryan showed up as well). It was great to sit and spend time with the Lord, talk about different topics and enjoy the beauties of Coronado beach.

After all that we headed off to down town San Diego, where we got a chance to see Petco Park. I feel ashamed to say this being a Padre fan but that was actually the first time that I had actually been to the park (I lived in Arizona for a while you have to remember).

We then headed to Del Mar where we again got my favorite sandwich. I can not get enough of the chicken club from Board & Brew in Del Mar. If I could eat one thing in Heaven, that would be it.

Our time in San Diego had come to a close. This was a little strange because I got a little comfortable being home for the couple of days. Now it was time to go to China. Wow, it is a little weird saying that.

We packed up the car and had two very important stops to make. One was to see Pastor Rick Warren speak at Saddleback Church; which I would recommend to anyone; and the other was the very important stop at IN-N-OUT burger. Man was that needed on this stop.

The whole trip was a complete blessing from God. I know that my mother, sister & father needed to see me before I went off to China. It was such a wonderful time together and I felt the love between the three of us so much more than I have ever felt before. I can feel God working so heavily in my family and he is focusing on LOVE & JOY. I saw the LOVE in my families faces and I praise God for those moments that I will never forget.

A QUICK STOP IN SAN DIEGO

I don’t know what it is about this trip but I have been an absolute train wreck on hurting myself. First it was cutting my finger open, then one of my caps on my teeth completely pops off and then there was the finish line at Santa Monica Pier. I really wish that I had this on film because it had to be completely hilarious seeing it from a bystander’s point of view. To make a long story short I went down hard trying to get to the pier the fastest and I took Lloyd down with me (he was helping me carry a bag). The end result was a pretty banged up knee and a jammed right thumb. I am really going to try and be a little more careful.

We arrived two days early to the pier so I asked my team if they wanted to spend some time down in my home town San Diego. They all gladly said yes, so I called my father to come and pick us up. My mom immediately asked what we wanted from Costco and my father was their in no time. I really am so thankful for the parents that I have because they are the best.

It was a little strange at first coming out of the environment that I was in and back to my old life but I adjusted quickly. The girls shot off to do the girly things with my sister and mother while Lloyd, my friend Ryan, my father and I went to the beach. We picked up my favorite chicken sandwich from Board & Brew while a squirrel decided to have a little praise and worship. We then headed to the blacks beach launch pad. I wanted so badly to take the plunge but just watching was enough for the day.

Our brief trip to San Diego has been exactly what I have needed, a little piece and quite, some sleeping in, time with family, switching computers and having some amazing meals. Thank you God for the family and the life that I have.

We are going to finish the trip off with a little praise and worship on the beach in Coronado, a stop at the Gas lamp quarter in San Diego and then we are headed to the 4:30 service at Saddleback Church to hear Rick Warren preach.

Thank you to all my supporters, friends and family, I love you all. Sorry to all my friends back home for not getting in touch with you all, I love you and miss you.
